Reorganization of Faculty of Education
1. Reform of College of Teacher Education
・to reform the curriculum with a keyword “to nurture teachers who can cope with the present educational problems in schools as follows: (1) to reconsider when the course should be started (2) to employ outsiders (3) to increase small classes, and (4) to study about the necessary conditions for the teacher’s certificate
・to realize teaching practice at the public schools on the islands as well as the mainland
 
2. Reform of College of Information Technology and Cultural Studies
・to improve the studying environment for students by modernizing facilities
・to make the system of designated responsible teaching staff clearer
・to hold manager meetings for the college
・to focus on training students who will meet the needs of society
 
3. Systematic Cooperation between Education for the Faculty and Cultural Education
・to focus on cultural education in order to nurture mature teachers and citizens in addition to professional education
・to support cultural education as much as possible, working in cooperation with Center for Function Development of Education in the university
 
4. Reform of Educational Research and Training Center in Attached Schools
・to do cooperative research together with the attached schools now that Educational Research and Training Center providing with the Department of Educational Clinic which can cope with educational problems in families, schools and communities
・to make further efforts for the practical educational research
 
5. Promotion of Educational Research for the Faculty and Cooperative Research with the Schools Attached to the University
・to promote researches with a common theme for the teaching staff of the faculty and the teachers of the attached schools
・to exchange the teaching practice and classes at both institutes
 
6. Establishment of the Attached Schools as the practical places for re-education and research for the current teaching staff
(1) to perform a role as a training places for the educational board of the prefecture and as a training organization supporting them
(2) to function as a training organization for inexperienced teachers
(3) to improve quality of the teachers by dispatching the teachers for the attached schools to other schools in order to give a model class and letting the teachers of other schools give classes at the attached schools
 
7. Reform of Entrance Examination System
・to improve Admissions Office system entrance examination which is now carried out and to conduct a tracing survey for it
・to consider accepting adult members of the society and foreign students for College of Information and Technology and Cultural Studies
 
8. Teaching Practice at Public Schools including those on the islands
Teaching practice at the public schools contributes to improving the quality of the teachers, because the practice is different from the one at the attached schools. Practice at the schools on the islands helps students understand the educational issue on the islands, which is one of the problems for the educational situation in Nagasaki prefecture.
